If you recently admired a clean, easy-to-understand chart or a beautifully organized report at King, there’s a good chance Christian Sardar had a hand in it.

Christian joined King in September 2025 as a Data Analyst, where he supports projections, visualizations, and reporting alongside King’s Director of Demographics, Rob Murray. While his degree is in finance, data analysis has always been part of his background. In college, he worked as a teaching assistant in a data science department, gaining hands on experience that translated naturally into his role at King.
Making information clear and approachable
What Christian enjoys most about his job is problem solving and making information easy to understand. He especially enjoys making reports, charts, and spreadsheets that are clear, approachable, and even fun to look at. One highlight from his first few months has been learning ArcGIS, King’s mapping software. Christian quickly got up to speed and now enjoys creating detailed, visually engaging maps that add another layer of insight.
When it comes to what sets King apart, Christian points to the emphasis on understanding the “why” behind the data. It’s not just about producing numbers, but about clearly explaining what’s driving trends and projections, and making sure people understand the story behind it.

Life outside of work
Outside of work, Christian keeps busy with a mix of music and sports. He started playing piano last year and quickly fell in love with it, learning many songs by ear. When he’s not at the piano, you’ll likely find him playing soccer or joining friends for pickup football on the weekends.
A fun fact that often surprises people is that Christian has been to all 50 states. Between growing up in Folsom, attending college in Oregon, and road tripping with family across the Midwest and East Coast, he checked them all off by age 20.

A people-first perspective
As a recent graduate in his first full-time role, Christian approaches his work with a thoughtful perspective. What keeps him motivated is remembering that the numbers on the screen represent real people. “They’re not just numbers,” he said. “They’re people with stories, and ways I can be helping them through what I do at King.”

Looking ahead, Christian is focused on learning, growing, and gaining experience as a young professional. With his curiosity, attention to detail, and people-first mindset, we’re thrilled he’s part of the King team!
