Our commitment to supporting individuals and communities expands beyond education, as positive growth and well-being are central to what we strive to accomplish. So, when Jennifer Roberts, sister of King President Jamie King-Iseman, brought Operation: With Love From Home to our attention, we gladly offered financial and in-person support.

Operation: With Love From Home is a Napa, California-based organization that provides care packages to deployed armed forces stationed overseas who are facing potential harm. Jennifer, who works with King Consulting, began supporting the volunteer organization in 2008 and is now the Board President.

“I have so many heartwarming stories to share about how these boxes and this effort has touched not only troops and family members but the community as a whole,” says Jennifer.

Two times a year, volunteers from the Napa community including local schools, Girl Scouts & Boy Scouts, churches, veterans, and local businesses gather donations to assemble the care packages. These packages are filled with simple but vital items which can bring great comfort to the soldiers such as socks, baby wipes, lip balm, batteries, sunblock, and disposable razors. As well as the supplies, each package includes a handwritten letter, serving as a reminder to the recipients that they are cherished, cared for, and not forgotten. For service members who are stationed far away from home, these care packages often serve as their sole source of mail or “love from home.”

If there aren’t enough donations to fill the boxes, we as a company have committed to buying supplies and providing financial contributions to cover shipping costs. Each medium-sized package costs $17 to mail, and without a discount from USPS, this is by far the largest cost. To date, Operation: With Love From Home has delivered over 76 tons of supplies to troops valued over $1 million.
